In Alternation Solitaire player is dealt 49 cards into 7 piles, 7 cards in each pile.
The cards are placed face up alternatively starting from top card in a pile leaving remaining cards face down.
Remainder of the cards are kept into the stock which can be dealt one at a time to the waste pile.
The top card from the waste pile can be played any time to the foundation or the tableau.
The tableaus are built down by alternate color whereas the foundations are built up by suit, from ace to king.
The top card of each pile can be played to another pile or a foundation.
A sequence of cards can be played from one pile to another pile.
An empty tableau can only be filled with a king or a sequence of cards starting with a king.
The game is won when all cards are moved to the foundations.
