In Miss Milligan Solitaire Player is dealt 8 cards face-up into 8 piles, 1 card in each pile.
Remaining cards are kept into the stock which can be dealt anytime to 8 piles, 1 card in each pile.
The tableaus are built down by alternate color whereas the foundations are built up by suit, from ace to king.
The top card of each pile can be played to another pile or a foundation.
A sequence of cards can be played from one pile to another pile.
An empty tableau can only be filled with a king or a sequence of cards starting with a king.
Once all moves are made, a new set of 8 cards are dealt to the piles and played according to the rule.
The game has a reserve deck which can be used anytime to temporarily hold a card or a sequence of cards starting with any suit which can be moved back to the piles anytime.
Only one card or sequence of cards is allowed to be kept in the reserve deck at a time.
The game is won when all cards are moved to the foundations.
