Windmill is a solitaire card game using 2 decks of 52 playing cards.
First, an ace is placed at the center.
Then eight additional cards are placed around ace to form reserve piles.
Each reserve can hold one card at a time which can be moved any time to the foundations.
Ace at the center acts as the base for first (primary) foundation.
There are four more foundations at the corner which act as secondary foundations.
The foundations are built in the following way:
Primary foundation is built up regardless of suit from ace to king upto 52 cards. Ace can be placed on top of the king.
Secondary foundations are built down regardless of suit from king to ace each having 13 cards.
Cards from the stock pile can be moved one at a time to the waste pile.
The top card of the waste pile is available to play either to the empty reserve or the foundations.
Cards can also be moved between primary and secondary foundations.
The game allows two re-deals from the waste pile to the stock pile which means the player can run through
the stock pile three times in total.
The game is won when all cards end up in the primary and secondary foundations.
